Our Services
Three services,
three different needs.
Each engagement at Bunga Damai is clearly scoped and priced. We do not add services you did not ask for, and we do not begin work until the terms are agreed and understood.
← Back to HomeOur Approach
Every matter begins with a conversation, not a file
Before any work begins, we take the time to understand the full picture of a client's situation. Family matters rarely arrive in tidy categories. A letter may be needed because mediation has broken down; a review may reveal a need for a letter first. We assess what is actually required and advise accordingly.
All three services can be engaged independently or in sequence. Some clients begin with a letter and return later for a full review. Others come directly for mediation coordination. There is no prescribed path.

Service One
Plain-Language Family Letter Drafting
A short, fixed-fee engagement in which we prepare a single careful letter on behalf of a family member. The letter may be addressed to a former spouse, an estranged adult child, a sibling regarding shared family responsibilities, or an elderly parent's estate trustee. It is drafted in measured, courteous language — intended to keep doors open rather than close them.
Many family disagreements are eased by such a letter alone. Setting out a position clearly and respectfully, without threat or accusation, often opens a channel that has been closed for months or years.
Key benefits
- Strictly one-letter scope — no scope creep
- Non-adversarial tone designed to preserve relationships
- First draft shared with you before any letter is sent
- Revisions included within the fixed fee
- Suitable for civil family matters — not for formal court proceedings
How it works
- 1Brief intake conversation (30–45 minutes)
- 2First draft within 5–7 working days
- 3Revisions based on your feedback
- 4Final letter approved and dispatched
Service Two
Family Mediation Coordination
Considered coordination of family mediation — whether the dispute concerns separation, inheritance, eldercare, or shared business interests within a family. We prepare the brief for the mediator, attend sessions in a supportive role at the client's request, and translate the outcome into clear legal documents where parties agree to formalise their understanding.
Mediation is not always the right path. Where it is, our role is to ensure the client enters sessions well-prepared, understands what is being proposed at each stage, and leaves with documentation that reflects the actual agreement reached.
Key benefits
- Mediator brief prepared before sessions begin
- Optional attendance in supportive (not adversarial) role
- In-person or video mediation both coordinated
- Outcome formalised in plain-language documents
- Covers separation, inheritance, eldercare, family business
What we will not promise
We cannot control the outcome of mediation — that depends on the parties. We can prepare well, attend carefully, and document honestly. Where mediation does not succeed, we will say so plainly and discuss the next practical step.
Service Three
Comprehensive Family Affairs Review
A patient engagement that brings together a client's marriage, parenting, property, and inheritance arrangements into a single written review. Suitable for clients entering a new chapter — remarriage, retirement, an aged parent moving into the household — who would like to put the legal framework around their family in good order.
Reviews are conducted across unhurried sessions at a pace the client sets. The written summary is in plain English, structured so that it can be read and understood without legal assistance. Clients may return annually to update their review as circumstances change.
Areas covered
- Marriage and spousal arrangements
- Parenting responsibilities and arrangements for minor children
- Property ownership and co-ownership review
- Inheritance arrangements and testamentary documents
- Eldercare responsibilities and documentation
- Optional annual revisit at reduced fee

Not sure which service you need?
Begin with a conversation. It costs nothing, and it will usually make the next step clear. We will not suggest a service that is not genuinely appropriate.
